Some people have winged fortune tattooed on able skin and always seem able to fly and prosper.

Other folk . . . you see their scars, on nervous arms like the gnarled stem of the lovely rose, with unseen root dragging them forever down.

And yea, as some can sleep to dream soundly others still only burn awake through endless nights of wild proposition and unsure memory.

I have been there. I have seen the would-be stars and the will have scars, the victims and the aggressors.

I have walked down a thousand dark end streets like this and collected so many tales to keep like souvenirs in time.

For some day soon, a flower may grow out of the dirt of a decaying heart and reach towards the sun to see something other.

And on that day, you may cross your heart and smile at fate and make your blessing count, oh happy day, oh happy day, oh happy day.
